We are pleased to announce that the JDM Technology Group is growing again through the acquisition of Stavanger, Norway-based Safran, a maker of risk, project, and portfolio management software.
Safran makes world class software that enables businesses to precisely plan and execute complex projects across industries including oil and gas, engineering and construction, aerospace and defence, utilities, and the public sector. Its software products include Safran Project, which provides project scheduling, planning, risk analysis, and execution, and Safran Risk Manager, a high performing, user-oriented tool for managing risk on complex projects. The company also makes Safran Planner, a scheduling system for planning and executing projects.
Safran is based in Norway, and has a sales team based in the UK, as well as an international network of partners and resellers. CEO Richard Wood will continue in his role following the acquisition.
With the acquisition of Safran, JDM has strengthened its portfolio of management software. Safran’s assessment and planning tools will help companies complete projects more quickly and at lower cost. JDM offers a range of software products that are essential for all stages of the building life cycle.
As you know, the JDM Group is a private, professionally managed, family company. That makes us different: our focus is on the long-term, with the goal of building strong, successful companies based on great teams, great customer relationships, great products, and enabling individual companies to succeed.
We are pleased to welcome the Safran team to the JDM Group and look forward to working with them and you to build and improve the future of software for construction and the built environment.
