PRESENTERS:
Megan Johns
Director, Building Policy, Department of Energy and Public Works
Megan currently leads the policy and legislation team in the Department’s Building Policy division with responsibility for the BIF legislation, security of payment reforms and trust account implementation. She has extensive knowledge and understanding of the building industry trust account requirements from both a legal and practical ‘on the ground’ perspective having played a significant role in these reforms over many years since 2017.

Peter Smith
Specialist Business Analyst, Building Policy, Department of Energy and Public Works
Peter is a Senior Business Analyst specialising in the building industry trust account framework. Working at the QBCC for 2.5 years, Peter produced the project trust account tools for trustees. He’s currently engaged by the Department to lead the engagement and advice to software companies and to help support development of trust accounting solutions.

Marc Hemmett
CSSP Managing Director
As well as managing all CSSP staff, Marc heads up CSSP’s Steering Committee that provides direction for all product development, enhancements and innovation. ‘Compliance with the diverse state based SOPA legislation has been a challenge, but we believe Cheops is compliant across all states and territories including QLD’

Penny Adriaansen
Specialist Cheops Consultant
Penny has been instrumental in driving the changes to Cheops that CSSP believes make Cheops compliant with the QLD BIF Act. Penny has an intimate knowledge of the legislation and has worked closely with stakeholders to make Cheops best-in-class.
